Default spare tire in 48 coupe trunk

hi guys and gals. i have a radial tire on a 15 in. wheel that nolonger fits in the wheelwell, how do you guys get around that problem?

Joe,

I am building a 47 chopped coupe and will most likely run into the same problem. I will try to deepen and widen the spare recess in my trunk, it's sits right over the rear spring cross member. There is at least two inches between the floor and the cross member.

Junk yard, early 60"s full size sedans had full size spare tires. Cut out the floor pan and drop in a "bigger" one.
