31 Model A SW Town Sedan Association
I understand that there exists a Victoria Association.
I also understand that there existed some time ago a Town Sedan Association. I think that I understand it went defunct. Does anyone have information about this association and is there any interest in trying to restore this association? Thank you, |

Re: 31 Model A SW Town Sedan Association
Dan Gamble was running it and just ran out of time. I loved it and thought it was worthwhile for the info it generated. I would love to be in it again.

Re: 31 Model A SW Town Sedan Association
To: 1930 art deco,
How would we go about getting it started again. I would be willing to help, but, I myself have a 31 Town Sedan only 1/2 restored. How does one go about getting getting the town sedan association started? Thanks, |

Re: 31 Model A SW Town Sedan Association
Are you referring to the "31 Town Sedan Social Group" here on The Ford Barn? Limiting the "Club" to one year and one model may be limiting your membership, especially since most issues can be addressed on this Forum.
I do have a Town Sedan but since it isn't a '31 or a Slant or a 160 I don't qualify for your "Club"... Last edited by Y-Blockhead; 02-26-2017 at 04:51 PM. |

Re: 31 Model A SW Town Sedan Association
I belonged to the original Town Sedan club, for a few years, before it was taken over by Dan Gamble. It was great, and they published a very nice, informative newsletter. For a while, you were able to order all of the back issues, which I did. Many had very good info, particular to Town Sedans. Dan Gamble and his wife took it over, and he was very inspired and excited, but he was younger and still working, and I think it finally overwhelmed him. Not sure if they saved anything that was part of the club.....a white pages search might locate him for queries.

Re: 31 Model A SW Town Sedan Association
I was a member and saw him at the MARC meet in Niagara Falls where there was a meeting of the club that I attended. Not long after that, he wrote and said that he could no longer continue the club. I suspect he would love for someone to take it over. I will PM his mailing address. The club e-mail was [email protected]

Re: 31 Model A SW Town Sedan Association
I would be in to being part of the club as well. I've been posting several questions to get input from town sedan owners.

Re: 31 Model A SW Town Sedan Association
Looks like a lot of people would want to join, but we are lacking someone,or a team, to actually produce the content and keep it all running. I can only guess that it is a lot of work to keep it all going. And hats off to the previous people that were running it.

Just saw this on Facebook,
I [Jay McCord] had a call from John Batchelor from Export, Pennsylvania today. He wants to restart the MAFCA Town Sedan Special Interest Group. Please contact John at [email protected]. Or contact me [email protected] to get this SIG going again. We need 5 MAFCA members for the chapter renewal to get started. If you can help with historical items or please help us.
