Default New England Meet in Mystic

We're thinking about attending the New England Meet in Mystic in the fall. I've been on the website and looked at the flyer, but there's not alot of info there aside from location and dates. Is there a program available somewhere? My daughter is in Vet school just over the border in Mass. so we have a place to stay within an hours drive of the venue.

Contact them and they will send some additional info. We have been to the meet many times and have not been disappointed. We are going this year with our 29 coupe. John

This year the meet is in Connecticut. It rotates from state to state and club to club. It is more of a convention than a meet. It is open only to registered attendies, not to the public. Typically there is a friday night social, a saturday tour to where the peer judging takes place, (this year to the Mohegan Pequot museum) and saturday afternoon will be the Hubbley model car derby, then saturday night a banquet and entertainment. Sunday morning is the breakfast and awards presentation, and raffle of donated stuff.

Great, thank-you. Same daughter in Vet school spent a year at Mystic Aquarium, we love the area also.

Do yourself a favor and go to the meet. You'll have a blast, and you'll never want to miss one in the future. I've been attending the NEM without missing one since 1999.

I'd love to go but our club is celebrating their 55th anniversary that same weekend.
Hopefully we can go next year.

To the OP, by all means attend the NE Meet in Mystic. You will have a great time. I know that CMARC will do a terrific job as host.

The meet in 2016 will be in Westford, MA on September 9, 10 and 11, 2016.

Have your whole club go to the meet, and celebrate your anniversary there with nearly 200 other Model As to join in the party

From the statements above, can I assume the show is open to anyone who is NOT a memeber of CMARC? We would like to bring our 31 roadster, but we are in NY state and not members...

I will be volunteering in the repair tent. Should be a great time! You can easily register from 2many's links. Mystic has a lot of great sights including the Aquarium and the old seaport which has a ton of history.

Definitely planning on going. I was a CMARC member for a long time prior to selling our first model A. Now that we have come full circle it's time to rejoin MARC andCMARC.

I will be there with the 29 tudor. My brother Mike is driving down from the Canadian border with his roadster, and will also attend.

Here is a photo of me and mike at the New England meet a few years ago.

Yes, there is peer judging. Blue ribbon for cars that qualify with the national standards, and red ribbon judging for those of us with rubber valve stems, alternators, and other non original equipment.
My car is a red ribbon car, my brother's is blue ribbon.

Yes, the meet is open to anyone. You do not have to be affiliated to CMARC or any club for that matter.

Red Ribbon Judging is PEOPLE's CHOICE, ant NE Meet, not points judging, so more of a popularity contest than a "Judgement" against Touring Standards.
INTERNATIONAL MODEL A FORD DAY tour is "Same Place, Same Time" as the New England Meet's tour as WELL as ANYWHERE/EVERYWHERE else in the WORLD, that day !-
Bruce Adams Coordinator-International Model A Ford Day.

Expect many hundreds of Model A's on the field of the tour and in the hotel's parking lot.

You don't have to be a member of any club (CMARC or otherwise) to attend. You should make hotel reservations ASAP and register for the meet in advance. If you wait on registering until you arrive you will probably get shut out when it comes to the evening dinners and such.
