Living in the Netherlands, buying almost everything I need in the USA, I proclaim: USPS is crap !
Their track and trace stops at the US border, try to call somebody enquiring about your shipment … you’l have it all, ranging from ‘office hours to COVID-19 to personnel shortages, to customs services etc. USPS is arrogant enough to loose their customers to UPS and Fedex of which Fedex is standing out !

Agreed. There are MANY people whose only dealings with the US are via the postal service (I use the word "service" loosely). When it fails so badly so often, guess what they think of America as a whole.

The only way to get USPS to perform as promised is through the Customer Advocate Office.

Yeah, only for light stuff that goes by air. You'll pay the 10 percent tax tho via them. And if over $A1000 you get the customs nightmare thown in as well.

Well, if it makes you feel any better, Australia Post here has sent me an email that a parcel posted locally here before Christmas, won't arrive for about a month due to covid labour shortages,.

However, a parcel from the US arrived today within a week via Fedex.
Australia Post was previously called "Royal Mail".
The only vehicle that could go through a red light was a Royal Mail van as nothing was allowed to hold up the royal mail ...

Unofficial USPS slogan here in the States

Neither snow nor rain nor heat nor gloom of night stays these couriers from the swift completion of their appointed rounds

Regretfully I’m calling BS on it! I’ve seen it take a lot less to not get a days mail.

Same with Chrysler, when Lee Iacocca came in.

We have an order coming from California, that was supposed to be delivered yesterday. It just left California this morning, it sat in one of the FedEx locations now for 4 days.

Their problems all started with promises to employees…
Called post-retirement benefits

Then came operational problems
Then came revenue decline

If a commercial entity ….they’d have filed bankruptcy years ago!
Their problems started long before this current PM
