In May 2015 I posted a photo of what everyone concluded was either a power or vent valve. I concluded by saying that the carb I was looking at was the only one with that feature and forgot all about the post.

I looked into the carb without the valve and noted that the bottom hole which would hold the valve was securely plugged --- there is a passage in the upper half of the carb in a recess above where the valve would be. I believe this might be a vent--- so maybe this whole contraption might be some kind of vent.

Will experiment with the Marvels later if problems arise with the Tilly that I currently running. You hate to mess with something that's doing great.

That is a picture of my Marvel in post #7 and yes, it does have the vent hole.
