Default Compression fittings for vacuum line

I've tried all of the local hardware stores and other possible sources locally but people laugh when I tell them what I'm trying to do, i.e. replace a vacuum line on a 39 Ford engine. Most have never seen such an animal when I show them what I'm looking for. Does anyone have a source for these compression fittings and tubing? Thanks.

With all due respect to Michael, and his father Danny who I have "known" for years, I cannot get them to answer my phone calls, PMs or emails. I did get one answer via email that I didn't understand, and have asked for clarification. I have ordered parts over the phone, and even given them my credit card number. Crickets. I can't figure out what gives. I know I am old, and probably inpatient as hell, but this has gone on for weeks. I'm sort of forced to look for other sources. Thanks anyhow.

Got a pic? Worth a thousand words, you know.

I had a bit of a time finding the type for the later Y-Block, several T-Bird suppliers have them all made up ready to go with pre-bent lines and everything.

Yeah, the top picture in entry by 51Merc in the referenced thread. I would copy it and paste it here but I'm not computer savvy enough to do that.

Lawson,
You’re not alone in this. I used to always get a call back, or an email response, but for the past six months, I cannot get a response in regards to placing an order or a parts request. I’m sure he’s just slammed and I’m certainly not trashing him. I like Michael and he has always taken good care of me when buying parts. I bet he’s just been too busy fulfilling online orders and simply does not have the time to take phone calls or return emails, which I understand how much time this can eat up.

They are on eBay. I think there is a 7/16 nut size and a 3/8 nut size. I used the 7/16 size on our 52 F1, more meat to grab with a wrench.

Perhaps you can provide the exact link on EBAY where the vacuum compression fitting like the one as shown in post #11 above can be seen?

Search for “ford vacuum fitting” and they pop right up, in either size.

I guess I’m lucky, my local NAPA has drawers full of fittings.

About six months ago I changed the Mallory distributor on my '36 Ford engine to an original type distributor. The only vacuum line that I could find was from Mac's. It fit well and it was reasonably priced.
