Safe shock flush ?
Guys, Was checking fluid level in good clean non leaking front shock on my 35 Ford. Prior owner had used a hardening sealant on the plug which left a 3/8 inch donut of hard crud at the bottom of the fill hole that fell into the cavity when the plug was removed. Now I don't dare run the car with that inside.Have taken off and drained the shock but the ring of hard sealant remains inside the unit. Question: What is safe to flush out shock and not damage anything?. The old fluid was very clean and looks similar to what Macs supplies in the squeeze bottle. Thanks for useful suggestions.
