Bill, I've got two more possible participants however, they won't know for a few weeks if their schedule will be flexible enough for them to be able to make it to the "Bash". As it is, it looks like we'll have a good crowd again this year.

Hey. Fellows i am an old model a man and look at that site when i am on the ford barn. I just bough a 1940 ford deluxe original car. I see you are having a barner"s bash. The 28th, re-con my wife sarah and i could stop by. We live in north ga, please don"t hold that against us. We would love come meet you and enjoy some warmer weather.

Hi Jerry, you are most welcome to attend in your '40 or your "A" or even a Toyota... Driving a Flathead is not a requirement. What part of North Georgia are you from? My mom lives in Sautee-Nacoochee, just outside of Cleveland, Georgia. Every year we (the Cigar City Flatheads) drive up to Dawsonville for the Moonshine Festival in October. Looking forward to meeting you at the "Barner's Bash". Vic

Bill it's not 11am yet, and I've been to a nice flea market and spent $$ on some sound deaden-er for the 40, oh yea it's up to 70, and a high of 80 today, you guess. I didn't have to shovel to get out of the driveway, heck I didn't even scrape the W/S. Gasoline is $3.20, need I say more, see you at the bash or maybe sooner! Tell your wife they have fireballs down here too!

Vic, You can add Bud & Nancy Dridge to the list. My 37 coupe(Ivan Wesche's) has to remain on LI. Be there in a Toyota P/U.

Bud, I'm looking forward to meeting you and finding out about Ivan's '37 Coupe. He had some beautiful V8's, I met him in 1975 at a car show in Nassau County, he had driven his '41 Woody to that show. I was publishing a magazine at the time called Part Finder. We went out to Ivan's and did a photo shoot of a bunch of his cars. Just before I moved from LI to Florida in '92, the LIRG gave me a surprise party, as part of it, we drove out to Ivan's place. He was a good friend and he really knew his Flatheads.

Well I suppose everyone has a bucket list, mine contains a year to make this event in a flathead, most likely my 40 pickup. Won't be this year, I wish all of you guys and gals a great tme and if any of the girls that are riding in JM's 35 sedan actually show up I am really going to be kicking myself in snowy cold upstate NY. A goal for me is 2015 to drive that old pickup down and back. Now I just have to get back in the barn and keep chipping away at it.

It looks like we will have plenty of participants at the 2014 Florida "Barner's Bash", hosted by the Cigar City Flatheads. We are looking forward to seeing everyone, and we anticipate another outstanding event. Thanks in advance to all those that have helped make this event a success over the many years we've held it. Bill, Vic, My knee replacement recovery is on track. I am walking on my own and driving an auto trans. I am still hoping to be there, but we'll see? It's been 4 wks since the surgery.
