I have a 29 Tudor that came with the NC rear tag & a front Charlotte
Tag , both original not repainted! Though about redoing them , don’t know if that’s a good idea or not . Both pretty straight just very light surface on the rear tag.
Saw a NC tag on eBay & it to was pricey I thought. I liked the color of the NC

There are license plate refinishers that do an amazing job. Most plates refinished in a garage can be identified from 20 feet away. Save yourself the embarrassment, have them professionally restored.

Would love to see a picture of the '29 NC rear tag if you have it.

I use a tamper resistant nut AND bolt.....make 'em work for it. Around here they're registered to me (not the car), like personalized plates. If they get taken they're just wall hangers with my official release form.

Tag is a little darker in pic than it really is!
