Great idea! Now how do I remember to screw down the green knob on my battery before I try to start it. My 28 roadster with driver's side mounted spare in front fender, getting in and out is a major event.

I agree. A good habit to protect the coil and possibly even the car and garage in a worst case scenario.

WARNING !

I've heard that Purdy's Flame-Thrower coils, especially the 12V version, are not to be used with alloy heads as they provide too much "flame". An old boy told me his alloy head started to become viscous on a long tour using these little beasts
