Default Centering Brake Shoes

When you center your brake shoes what clearance do you try to maintain at the top of the shoe in relation to the diameter of the brake drum?

If you don't have time to do it right the 1st time, how do you have time to do it the 2nd time?

The 1932 Service Bulletins say a .005 feeler should pass clearly between
the lining and the drum at all points.

The 32 Service Bulletins say to take an old drum and hub and cut slots in
the drum for the feeler. The 1933 Service Bulletins show a gauge to center
the shoes and says to set them between .010 and .030.
