Shock rebuild
Does anyone rebuild shocks for my 37? I only have 3 and they are stuck so I would also need the right rear.

Re: Shock rebuild
Bob: I don't think so but don't know for sure. I am waiting for a paper from Bill W that shows how to identify each year. I have about 25 shocks cores left I am trying to identify. Dave

Re: Shock rebuild
Bob, another vote for Bill Wzorek and a big no way vote for M&S. I sent M&S a nice set of '35 cores off one of my low mileage original cars. I got a call back from them saying my cores were all bad and were not rebuildable. They talked me into buying a set of their reproduction shocks. They were absolute junk. I only had them on my car for about 12 months before replacing them with a set rebuilt by Bill W. The M&S shocks were all leaking and loose (no resistance to movement). I asked Bill if they could be rebuilt and he said he wouldn't touch them, just throw them in the scrap pile. Apple Hydraulics might be my second choice if i couldn't get Bill to do them.
I also have some '37 shock cores if you can't come up with what you need for a set of rebuildable cores. Send me a PM if interested

Re: Shock rebuild
Bill Wzorek does a super job. He rebuilt two for my `35 and they were one step above junk. Both were stuck. When I got them back they were like new and still are with no leaks. The price? Free! I won a drawing at Hershey that he sponsored for two free rebuilds. He is a Fordbarner and a great guy.

Re: Shock rebuild
I also would vote for Bill W. Bill did a full set for my 36 pickup last year. Be patient, the quality is worth the potential wait. Last year he had some knee surgery I believe but I think he's back up to speed. Always promptly returned my emails, gave me an accurate quote up front and stuck to his price. Shocks looked great when I got them back and he also has new shock links (dog bones) if you need them.
