Default 1928-29 FORDOR Hood Question

I just picked up a nice hood for the '29 Steelback project, correct Fordor hood with the bead on the top. The top hinge may be damaged since it won't fold over like a normal A hood, will a Fordor hood fold over? I plan on soaking the hinges with PB Blaster and tapping the rods out.

Bob, see if you can tap it down far enough where a drill motor can be chucked onto the rod that is sticking out. Then after much soaking with penetrating oil, see if you can spin the rod while pulling it out. Once the oil has unfrozen the rod, the spinning motion will keep from bending the loops.

Thank Brent, we've used that rod removal trick several times, works great. It always works best in front of someone that has never seen it done before. This was a great weekend with two swap meets, that provided needed parts at great prices. Bob
