1936 Phaeton / Front end noise
I’m in the process of buying another early V8, this one a ‘36 Phaeton.
During the road test yesterday, all was well…until the first turn, when an abrasion-type noise came from the front end. It sounded like a suspension element might have been contacting / dragging against part of the brake, or that the brake assembly itself may have gone out of true under a cornering load. Car track straight otherwise, no wander or vibration. Would greatly appreciate thoughts before I proceed further. Thank you very much.

Re: 1936 Phaeton / Front end noise
I would start by checking the front wheel bearings. They may be loose allowing the drum to move slightly and contact the brake shoes when turning. Next look at anything else in the area that can wear out.
