Default 1932 5 window rumble bracket issue Help!!!

I am converting from the hot rod tail lights back to the origianl tail lights. I noticed the step for the rumble on the right side is bolted into the spreader bar holes. I need the right tail light to use those holes as well and they do not "marry" well together. Did Ford make the right tail light bracket insert (fit together) the rumble step and then secure both brackets into the rear spreader bar?

Pictueres would help. I am stuck .

ps I am also installing the original bumbers and need to us the spreader bar holes for the bumber bracket as well. It is getting pretty crowded on the right side.

The step assumes a stock car, one with no right light. Probably most reasonable way forward would be to get repro light and step brackets and creatively combine.
I have a cast iron aftermarket tail light bracket designed to fit a rumble seat car...I think it was from one of the aftermarket light companies like Yankee flogging extra light sails in '32. There is an old catalog picture of one of these in an ancient Model 18 notes column in the V8 Times.
I'd have to look at the thing to be sure, but from memory I think its frame flange went under the flange for the step, with the curved arm starting out from above the flanges and curving out to the stock light location.

Nope you are still stuck, the rumble bracket is what it is, if you want to have a RH tail light you will have to match the tail light stand base to clear the rumble step bracket body web.

I thought so. It seems that the 32 rumble cars would have opted for the right taillight even though it was not standard on the 32s. Maybe I will go without the rumble step and install the original tailight anyway.

I have a right side tail light on my '32 roadster with a rumble seat. I decided to trim the tail light bracket (a reproduction) to fit and leave the strength in the step plate bracket where it was important.

Thanks Charlie, I will do the same. I can trim off the inside bracket for the tail light and have it fit inside the rumble step.

Ditto here and I got the idea from Charlie's old post. Thanks Charlie!
