Gas tank '48 Ford wagon.
Just to be clear are the gas tanks the same for a wagon as for a pasenger car? My gastank started leaking today. At the seam, I think after filling it. Drained 7 gallons off it and it stopped leaking. 72 years old doubt there is any recalls/warranty! Any fitment issues similar to the 38/40 models with the repro units? Thanks Bill.

I was able to seal a gas tank on my dad's military jeep with JB Weld. It was still there when he sold it.

Re: Gas tank '48 Ford wagon.
I recently installed a new tank from Dennis Carpenter in my 46 Tudor with zero fitment issues. Their's were the only tanks that exactly matched the original specs (the pickup tube location varied with all the others I found). Carpenter shows their tank as correct for all models except the sedan delivery. I am unsure how the woodies fit into the mix.
