31 Phaeton rear tack rail

I'm looking for pictures / measurements of a '31 Phaeton rear tack rail - is anyone able to help please?

Is there a difference between US and Export on that??

It will be a Canadian built car so the same as USA. Canada exported to all British Commonwealth countries , Australia, New Zealand, South Africa, India etc etc .

Hood bows here, I believe are not the same as US models.
In response to the question, do you have anything of the original? If so, just copy it. The straight piece in the middle is no brain buster but the tack material in the curved metal sleeves is another matter. A fellow in our club spent a lot of time experimenting with different glues (never use PVA when steel or iron will be in contact) and sawdust from different woods to get something that he could squeeze in there and tack to it once it set. He eventually found a combination and it's still going well.

Cubel in Utah sells a synthetic, moldable product that works well for tack strips. I used their product for a tack rail on a Model T touring a few years ago and it holds nail/tacks well.
I know shipping from the states is prohibitive, but something similar must be available where you live?

I am thinking your best bet is to order the A-36790-B print from Benson when they re-open. The charge is $30.00 US and they will e-mail the print to you.

I've heard of using strips cut out of boards made from recycled plastic, aka RPL.

Your Canadian built phaeton will be the same as USA built cars .Could well be Australian cars were different as they had to have a lot of locally sourced content . Their phaeton bodies were wood framed like a cabriolet so maybe the tops were different . I worked in a garage in Camps Bay Cape Town the only difference from USA cars were the Robertson screws .
