Model A Immodesty
Despite being a pure-bread 3rd generation Texan (with roots traceable back to 1849), I do my best to be a modest fellow. And so, I find myself out of character posting a video about me and my Model A. That said, it was only due to the active, helpful responses I have received on this forum - plus the hundreds (thousands?) of other originators' posts I have read - that allowed me to make it from Finland to Croatia and back this summer.
Happy watching, safe driving, and thank you fellow-Barners. https://youtu.be/ZCbkUphkEJw Last edited by apbright; 12-12-2016 at 05:22 PM. |

Re: Model A Immodesty
I feel envious of your trip and was amused by the reaction of bystanders to the A. A greats job of editing and a good watch, thank you.

Re: Model A Immodesty
dont worry about modesty, we have two or three Barners that do everything possible to exploit themselves whenever possible. Wayne.

Nicely done! I was in Croatia in the Fall and met a guy that wanted to buy a Model A so the hobby could be growing over there!

Re: Model A Immodesty
MARVELOUS VIDEO!!! Were a few shots taken from the rumble seat?
I see they drive on the R/H side of the road. I once had a R/H drive, '39 M.G, Tickford & it was a challenge, to learn to drive it on the R/H side of the road! L/H shifting was VERY AWKWARD! Bill Awkward

Re: Model A Immodesty
Thanks all for your gracious Kudus.
Indeed, if you have to live in Europe, Croatia makes for great Model A driving. Beautiful mountain and coastal roads, with reasonable and (unlike France) sane traffic, friendly and interested people; food could be better. Bill W.: In fact it is a regular L/H drive car; just a bit of video trickery going on with special cameras (gimbal cameras on stick-mounts, if that says anything). |
