I have about 40 originals here I keep for restorations and they are about 90% with the big M. Most of these have come from 1939 and 1940 cars which I have parted out over the years. I will check those restorations book as I think the V8 club expects to see the M during judging. |

Re: NEW products available thread
Okay I checked the 1938 1939 Book which states that these shackle bars changed in 1939 to the 91A-5468 and increased the length from 1.50" to 1.56" and they were marked with the M for identification. Most likely the reproduction here is 1.50" and is only correct up through 1938.

Re: NEW products available thread
Another new small item. I only made 200 of these and will not make anymore in the future. B-2075 1932-34 Ford front brake actuating pin. Seems like these become lost frequently.

Re: NEW products available thread
Another simple and silly but useful new item. A reproduction of the 32-38 KR Wilson synchronizer hub tool. If you’ve rebuilt one of these you know it can be a pain to compress all 6 springs and balls while sliding the hub into the sleeve. With this tool, as you push the hub down it compresses the springs making it a 3 second job. I use my Kr Wilson one all the time. We only made a limited one time run of them. They are zinc plated.

Re: NEW products available thread
Wow, now I can get rid of the popsicle sticks and hose clamps that I used for this job.

Re: NEW products available thread
We just introduced a new item.....the special hardware kit for the Borg Warner overdrive lockout levers. The kit fits all versions of the BW lockout levers. These are the pieces needed to properly clamp the lockout cable to the lever, allowing the lever to rotate without twisting or binding the cable. The special stepped washer and the fine thread bolt (drilled for the wire cable end) are often lost, misplaced, or damaged. You can now buy these pieces, along with the related washers and nut to complete your overdrive transmission installation. Our part number is VP-7689K and is listed in our Overdrive Transmission Parts Prices.

Re: NEW products available thread
Just a teaser today. In from the foundry:
Door dovetail for Station Wagons 1928-32 front and rear doors (and 1933-34 rear doors only). Inside door handle for 1932 roadster / phaeton. The importers of the Taiwan ones are sold out and do not expect any for a year or more. Cabriolet top latch handle 1932-36 (when finished will include roller) Cabriolet top latch handle 1937-38 (when finished will include roller) These are all 304 stainless. Next steps are polishing and assembly of the handles. I will post again when finished. |

Re: NEW products available thread
Thought I'd share this. I have been using these on my driver cars as they appear somewhat original compared to the Pete and Jakes etc out there.. Polyurethane shackles that use slotted nuts and original type shackle bars..

Re: NEW products available thread
1936 Hood latch front catch. "Correct" reproductions from Drake have been unavailable for some time, so I am making these "REPLACEMENT" style without the embossed area. 304 Stainless. Note the hole in the middle is for a rubber bumper.

Re: NEW products available thread
I'll bet that's why they included their phone number on their web site. I'd also bet that if you call that number ( (815) 276-2578 ), they would likely tell you "yes"...or "no"!

Wow.... you had to go back THREE years for that one. Nevertheless, what you refer to as "sarcasm" is only pointing out what MOST folks either overlook, or find too troublesome to undertake by themselves. Coop . |

Re: NEW products available thread
Karl, thanks for posting and making the '36 hood catch. Had a young guy ask me about a pair at the Albany Swap Meet. Luckily I kept his phone number and called him back yesterday and sent him your way.
