There are no pump, belts or hydraulic lines to deal with which leaves the engine and engine compartment uncluttered. The Unisteer P/S requires 12V.

A 74 Comet and several years of ford products had a power steering unit that looked like a shock with lines hooked to it and it mounted with one end on the frame and the other and hooked on a tie rod. The lines hooked to a power steering pump. I think this would be the easiest set up. I do not know how far back this type was used but i think io had a 56 Ford that had this same setup and some fords in the 80's..

Yes I have just done it on my 34 without chopping or much in the way of alteration best you PM me my best advise is talk to those who have actually done it not those who think they know how to do it but it's worth the effort

I just purchased complete power steering unit for my 53 Victoria has all the brackets and steering equipment. look at the fowling website:

If I had it to do over again, I'd go electric. My frien just put one in his 38PU, can't wait to check it out. Got it from a junk yaard for 60 bucks. the controls cost 65.
