Default Hershey Tuesday

Walked 4.5 miles then got on my bike and road 15 miles.
Dry all day,lot of dealer picking. Pretty impressive turn out of vendors. I got a new moder shock kit for $40 bucks. Then a Restored set of shocks with arms and links for $200.00
Plenty of nice clean Model A parts here. A couple of vendors are liquidating 40 year personal collections. Nos parts. One vendor has about 6 spaces of parts for non As
Everything is $1 ea. Some rows are filled with vendors, Have seen plenty of nice As for sale, only a couple of Ts. This is a buyers dream!
Have not seen Eastwood and some other big vendors.
Nicko's at the foot of the bridge is not here as of yesterday.
No security, no Programs, no trash pick up yet.
Today should be good.

Nickos not there is a problem, that sucks. They were recruiting anyone for security last week. The morons chose yesterday to have a paving crew on HPD. And line painting down Chocolate Ave. They started the paving about 6 weeks ago, haven't worked on it for about 2 weeks so yesterday they thought it was a good idea to mess with traffic. I have heard several big vendors will not be there or just have show and tell, no sales. Is this the end?

I’ve heard that Herco (owner/manager of property) is balking at 2022 contract renewal. Want significant changes in logistics and timing. I think they find it more intrusive than worth it. Seems would be a boom to the area economy.
May not be the end but bet going forward will be notably different.

And No Chocolate! Thats the second best part. Although if it were in DE would be an hour closer to me.

As far as 2022, what I have heard is that the event will take place a day earlier and end a day earlier, on Friday as opposed as Sat. Not that big of a deal.

I will be heading up tomorrow, counting down the hours.

This was posted on the AACA Facebook on August 3rd by Tom Cox, a Chairman on the Executive Committee.

For 2022 Fall Hershey will be held October 4-7 Tuesday through Friday with vendor set up on Monday. The car show will be held Friday (next year). Once again, the car show and fleamarket will remain in the same locations. Please remember that the Hershey Region and hundreds of volunteers work hard all year long and during the event to make this huge annual reunion a success for our enjoyment.

The discussion I heard is that the amusement park has typically opened their Halloween themed events after Hershey but now feel they are missing out on opportunities as Halloween events are starting earlier and earlier so they did this to allow for the park to open on the Saturday.

While Hershey is definitely a boom to the area economy it isn't as lucrative for the amusement park who are missing out on those gate fees, concessions, games, etc.

Not exactly, you just have to know what products not to buy. Or read the label to see where it's made.
