Default Re: Fan cracked!!

Shortly after I got uncle Albert , my first AA ,

I heard a strange noise coming from the engine compartment .

I stood on the passenger side with the hood open, revving the engine , in an attempt to locate the problem .

I couldn't detect anything wrong with the engine running . I closed the hood and attempted to back the truck out of the shop .

Before I could make it out the door , there was a terrible crashing sound .

One of the original blades had turned loose .

As the broken blade made its round under the hood it took out a couple of tubes and damaged the fins on the lower drivers side of my radiator .

The broken blade also knocked a hole in my new hood .

I was real lucky that the loose blade didn't take me out while I had the hood open revving the engine .
