Default Bosch 00012

I bought a Bosch 00012 coil on the internet. I received a 0 221 119 027 -741 coil. There is no mention of the 00012 part number. It is silver with a blue label. Made in Brazil. Do i have the right one? Many thanks in advance to all.,...jack

I recently received (3) Bosch Blue coils 00012....one was the blue color I am used to,
the other two were as has been described....silver with a blue label. I was assured
all were the same. Every Bosch Blue coil I have used since Bubba made us aware of
it has been made in Brazil.

Did you look at the link flatheadmurre posted above? It shows the coil you are referring to (at least it looks like it). The reference says "made in Brazil, sold in Europe".

There may not be anything wrong with the silver coil, measure the ressitance across the pos and neg terminals. Should be 3.0 ohms maybe 3.5 ohms........if so run it....
But i really like the blue one.......

My coil does say "Made in Brazil and looks like the one in your pic. It has the 0221119027 part number stamped on the bottom. Do you think it is the correct coil?

I hadn't followed earlier discussions about the application of this 00012 coil. Is it for 6v, 12v or both?

It's a 12v coil with ~3.4 ohms internal resistance. It is primarily used for 4/6 cylinder engines such as VWs.
