Default Clutch indication

I checked the archives and couldn't find anything. So... I've got a good used clutch, but I'm concerned about the fingers. I just set a T.O. bearing on the fingers and it rocks about 1/8". By my calculations, it shouldn't rock at all. I've got to be right on this one. But How high should the fingers be. Is there a height for the fingers? Or just even, in the same plane? Thanks in advance
Terry

Terry, you need to check the fingers with the pressure plate bolted to the flywheel with the disc you are going to use. They need to be even at that point. In theory the levers on a plate should all be even at rest without the springs compressed, but in real life it doesn't seem to work that way.

Yep, like Keith said. The finger height can be from 5/8" to 3/4" [but all must the same within .002" ] measurement taken from finger to straight edge across cover.
