Default Spring time!

Two boys from our local Volunteer Fire Dept showed up the other evening for a little help with thier fire truck. This unit was our first emergency truck and was made out of a donated model A truck. The frame was stretched at the local machine shop and everything freshened up for service. After she retired, the old girl only comes out for our Pitt Meadows Day parade. Last year the boys had trouble with it over heating so they brought it over to me to give it a look see. I gave them a crash course in setting up the points and timing, and tuned the Zenith for a bit fatter mix for the parade. I knew the men that helped build this truck, and almost everyone that has every laid a wrench to it. So it seems it is my turn to help keep her rolling. Last year I donated a horn so she would sound better, and this year I have agreed to go through the steering and rebuild the coulmn.
My daughter and grand-daughter had fun crawling all over the truck while my wife happily shot these pix.
Hope you enjoy them as much as I do.
