Default Starter installation...HELP.!

Hi all!

The spring was broken as you can see the pic.

I bought a new one but it is different. My question is If I can install it.
The old one have broken pieces.

I watch this bendix on Mac and it seem to be equal. In new behind the piece that has teeth has a little bolt, must I take it out?

Please I need help to fix my starter.

Thanks

Don't remove the little bolt with the light spring on it.
Slip the assembly over the starter shaft with the gear toward the starter. The spring attaches to the boss on the end of the assembly with the short bolt. The other end of spring attaches to the end piece (far right in your picture) with the longer bolt that locates in the hole on the starter shaft.
