Re: Crab 42-48 vacuum seal
Aluminium crab distributors are very rare here in N.Z. cast iron ones with a bronze bush for vacuum advance piston which are the best for the least amount of wear, are the best type I have worked on are and very common here.

Re: Crab 42-48 vacuum seal
I used a easyout to get the rivet out. Is it normal to not be able to the piston to move with a hand vacuum pump? Seems like the piston for the brake should have a tighter seal in the bore? Thanks John

Re: Crab 42-48 vacuum seal
A hand vac pump would be tough based on pure volume we use a test benchg with vac pump .........the actuall seal never needed to be very good as the engine has good volume for the little piston size .......
