Rotten Rotor from Rotorville!
Here is an interesting one. Has anyone ever come across this before?
I came across that #2 cylinder was not firing. Exchange plugs, distributor cap, metal wires, and still the same issue. All dist bumps were at .025. I changed the rotor and they all fired. I didn't believe it so I installed the old rotor again and #2 was still dead. Went back to the new rotor and they all fired. How is it possible that a rotor could always pick one node not to fire. Confused in Rotorville |

Try a new cap; swap plugs/brass plug contacts?

Re: Rotten Rotor from Rotorville!
Look at the orientation of the rotor. Swap back and forth to see if the brass arms point in different directions. This is the only thing I can think of.

Re: Rotten Rotor from Rotorville!
Soooo what's the gap between rotors and body, my guess old one is a wider gap.

Re: Rotten Rotor from Rotorville!
Check the points gap on each lobe to make sure the whole 4 are opening evenly. Sometimes replacement stuff in the 70's wasn't made that well.
