New 32
Hi everybody. I just got this 32 pickup a few weeks ago. Paint isn't the greatest, but i think she looks pretty good. Not sure which flathead it is, but I have receipts from the previous owner, who didn't know much about it, but all the parts he purchased were for a 49-53 flathead. It's mated to a T5 transmission. Has what I believe to be, a M90 blower. It was running poorly when I got it with badly leaking Marvel Schebler carbs, so I purchased 2 new Stromberg big97 carbs.

.
Welcome to the Ford Barn. That is an 8BA-type engine you have there. Sure do like that little truck. And unlike many new folks, you're posting pictures just fine...we like pictures. What part of the world are you living in? DD |

Re: New 32
Great truck! What a way to start out.
This is a great forum; there are people on here that are experts on everything flathead (and early Ford in general). |

Re: New 32
Here are a few more shots from when I first picked it up when it still had the hood on. I'll probably put it back on when I'm done fiddling with the carbs for a while.

Re: New 32
how did the builder get those 33/34 pu running boards to fit? Shorten them? I have been told those boards are no longer available. Very well detailed PU Newc

Re: New 32
Looks like the running boards have been lengthened if anything. The guy I bought it from got it in pieces. The truck was started over 20 years ago and never finished. Here is how it looked 18 months ago.

Re: New 32
32,
That truck is going to be a very fun ride around town for you! Weather looks great. Not so great where I am at! Yep sure looks like a great driver and head turner too! Thanks for the pictures! Someone did a lot of work on it from the shot 18 months ago. Glad they brought it back from a stalled project. Regards, Chris

Re: New 32
Looks like it will be a very driveable truck. Amazing achievement in 18 months from the photo you posted.

Re: New 32
Don't see a thing worthy of change, Iwas going to suggest bumpers perhaps, but then with the low-down attitude we all seem to embrace probably a moot point . like it as is !
