Default Still sober

Hello all; I've taken an annual liberty for years now to post my sobriety date, 20 years today. It's really NOT about me. It's just to remind and or inform that sobriety is a phone call or internet search away. I used to drink a half a gallon a day and now I've stayed sober a day at a time for all this time, not alone but with friends that have the same problem as me. If you need help it's available, you just have to reach out. Thank you, Craig.

Thanks Craig, for the reminder. I feel blessed that I have never been addicted, have had several in my family that were and death is the only reason that they quit drinking... you should be very proud of your acclomplishment.

Craig, love your post every year, keep the streak going.

I was not addicted, but it has been 20 years since I had a drink. Found something better and we've been married 19 wonderful years.

Thanks Craig - great to hear from you every year . . . and that your determination and resolve continues. If ever there was a year to START drinking, it was 2020 - and you held firm.

So proud of you, dear friend! Stay the course! I used you as an example numerous times, especially showing pictures of the puppies as they were born - to show my Drug Court participants there IS life after drugs / alcohol ...... And how good that life can be. You are a tremendous inspiration!

Craig, Congratulations on your 20 year anniversary! One day at a time! 28 years for me and I still crave a good cold beer on a hot day. One's too many and 12 aren't enough!

Good on you Craig. Most of us do not understand the incredible determination-resolve associated to overcoming the disease. Of course your pups can take a persons mind off of anything else. Keep on keepin on!

Wells done Craig, your approach of breaking down a large goal into smaller tasks, such as focusing on just the one day, is something we can all relate to. That’s awesome...

I’m the youngest of a family of seven kids. The brother just older than me would not give up his drinking. He passed away before our mother. Being I lived closest I was directed by the older sibs to go to the hospital and direct the med staff to unplug. Not a fun thing to do but it
Had to be done. Glad you guys are taking care of yourselves.

Well done Craig -My brother has the same 20 years as you so I always note your posts each year. Having seen what my brother went through I tip my hat to you both and all -I really wonder if I would have the strength and courage to go through it.
