Default Dirt Leg / Dog Leg

I have been getting some fine rust in the sediment bowl of the 28 Tudor. No problems to date, but I would like to be proactive. I intend to fit a pencil filter in the tank and a NAPA3039 in the sediment bowl. But I have also seen references to a dog leg or dirt leg in several posts Several searches of the forum have not turned up any useful information,

Can anybody point me to something useful?

thanks

Ian

If you use the 'Dirty Leg' pipe plumbing valve and clean-out, you will not want to use the 'Pencil' filter up inside the gas tank. Let the tank clean it self out (via Dog Leg) before you put the Pencil filter to work.

I used the Dirty Leg method to clean out the rust, etc. out of my tank and hartily recommend it.

Use a drip leg with a blow down ball valve with cap or plug on the outlet off the valve

Dog Leg?

Appears that as a puppy, if Buster-T did not know how it is done, Bill would have instructed Buster-T how to hike his leg at Fire Hydrants.

That's no doubt why Buster-T later appreciates Bill so much today & craves so much for Bill's attention today.

With Bill's many compassionate wishes for recovery, Bill also realizes that caring for others often times works reciprocally just as well as his caring for Buster-T.

With a Model A Forum title like "Dog Leg", looks like an opportune time to wish Buster-T Merry Christmas ...................... this also includes you Bill!
