Default MARC dues, regular vs. "air mail" of Model "A" News

I've noticed that there are different membership dues for regular mailing of the publication vs. "air mail" delivery....

For a long number of years, , doesn't most mail travel by air anyway? How else would it travel? We don't have mail trains anymore, haven't since the 1960s as I recall.

Sounds like a holdover from the "good old days"!

I believe that the regular mail goes by truck (18 wheelers).

I could be wrong on this but I have heard that FedEx and UPS also handle mail deliveries for the Post Office but maybe that refers to packages. . Maybe some members have family members that work for those companies...
