Default Happy New Year!

It was pretty nice yesterday and I've been making some good progress on the big truck, so I took it out for a little stretch. It really has decent road manners for a vehicle of its size and age.

Rare and very interesting. You've got the 31 AA wire wheels and hubcaps. Super scarce.
I've gotta ask. What is the piece of sheet metal covering up behind the drivers door?

It started life as a 31 Deluxe Police Patrol in Denver.

The back half is 33-34. That's a really big hole behind the tin. There was nothing there when I found the sides, but my guess is the hole was for a heater like you see on the AA Ambulances.

I guess Henry gave it manners. It's calm and straight at 40 mph and the brakes are pretty good (when it's empty). I have the seat set up for a 6' 4" 230lb driver so there's enough room for me.

I still need 3 hinges for the driver's side rear cargo door, in case anybody has extras.

R/ Roger.
