Default Trunklid hinge prices

In looking to buy---- trunklid--(Not A Rumble lid )-- hinges ( '30 45B ) and I'm finding some choices. I find kits in the $15 - $20 range and then some listed in the $55 to $80 range . Whats the deal ? Are the higher priced kit that much better or will the lower priced kit do just as well on a driver quality ,never to be judged project..
I know the old saying of " you get what you pay for..." but this seems like a big price spread..
What say you??? Any real world opinions / experience appreciated..
Thanks ,
Stan

Look at what is included in the kits. Some are only the parts that mount to the lid, while other kits are all of the pieces including the mounting hardware.

You never mentioned function or fit....
Call Berts and get originals
All the repos I’ve seen are junk
But maybe there are better ones out there in the last few years

Oops u did say trunk not rumble ...could be wrong

Are you using an original lid or at repro one? I found my original hinges would not fit the new repro lid I had. Not even close so new repro hinges are not likely going to fit an original lid. Mixing and matching new and repro parts in the rumble area is a real challange.I know.

MickeyT : Thanks for the reply and very useful info...
As I stated at the first of my post ,Its ---Trunklid hinges --- , I'm asking about.
I am actually replacing a roached out rumble lid and converting to a Trunk lid .
I'm looking for a good original trunklid , but all I've found would take as much repair $$ as buying a new repro.
I guess I'll have to wait and see which one I decide on before buying the appropriate hinges

Turbo26T,

Hell...Trunk hinges can not be that much...$55.00-$80.00!

There is not much to them in the first place.

By the way...I do not think you get "everything" There are some shims that are not included it looks like...Snyders.

Tell us what companies you have looked at and prices.

Thanks.
