If a person doesn't like the way things are going here ,go somewhere else .It's up to you ,no one is twisting your arm to stay here .Some people just like to be in control,or want to be in control. It amazes me ,unbelieveable.JMO

Man ! I run into W.Va. hill-billies all the time ! They are everywhere !
I have a 1935 W.Va. plate on the front of my '35, and it seems like every time I take it out, I meet another one.
Come on down. It was 75* today and sunny !

In 1936 the Flathead was voted one of the top 10 engines in design, And it keeps getting better every day.

Ol' Ron's the BEST! Here he is teaching some of us Flathead 101 at his garage during our Vermont trip this summer. He also made some great chili for us. Hope we can do this again some day. Thanks Ol' Ron, you are the best!

This is what the sticky says, same sticky that has been there since May, it's been fair and harmonious all along. Whatsa matter? Finally post something that got exited door left and decide to read the stickies? Should this place be so strict that if you have the wrong rim color or are a tone off on your pinstripe that you are deleted, some think so. This is a small community here, there are not 135,000 of us, and of the 11,000 or so of us, only about 2,000 of us are into our particular years. Not a lot. True, we should keep the forum clean and information tidy, but we most likely should be polite and considerate to each other when we have a parting of the concepts. There are certain groups of vehicle owners that are so strict and so wound up over their autos that the outsider just does not want to carve through all the social funk to inquire of them the slightest bit of information. It serves us best to be friendly, open minded and polite, yes even to each other, eyes read this and if we sound like a bunch of old dopes that can't get along they are not going to consider us a good source of info. It is best for the forum to stay on topic, when we stray, the gentleman who diligently operates this forum will politely and privately remind us that there are parameters to stay within. He does so in a non public way so as not to cause a stir. If it don't fit it's most likely best to either report it or leave it, to cause a big stir over it just damages content, let Ryan set his policies, if we stray he'll give us a nudge, if we stray too far he may just let us step into the creek and be washed away.

I personally prefer early Ford V8's with original Ford bodies, early flatheads and original, or near original, drivetrains and of course hydraulic brakes. My
preference runs from 1932-1934's, but that is just me. I am not against stock
originals, own one myself, but my other cars are not original, but are as per above, and are "early hotrods." I have been on the Barn for many years, and
was under the impression that it was intended for original or early flathead-powered hot rods. I never noticed anything that said it was ONLY for original
Fords???

I have also been on the HAMB, but do not spend much time there BECAUSE it
is "cluttered up" with later-model Fords and other brands that I have no interest in, but I am not against; just not for me. Too many posts to wade through...

I would enjoy a site that covers early Ford vintage hotrods (NOT street
rods with late/crate running gear, reproduction frames/bodies, none of which
I am interested in...) but which could also cover ORIGINAL cars, since the kind
of vintage hotrods that I prefer are not that far removed from an original. I always thought the Ford Barn was THAT site... is it not???

I certainly don't want to hear about installing a sbc on this forum, and I haven't heard anything to my gradification.I thought installing a sbf was sort of a gray area because you're installing a ford into a ford.

Stick with 53 back Ford products and period mods using Ford products and thats what it is all about. None of those 8 1/2 bolt or whatever rear ends, alumn wheels and the rest of the junk you see on the so called rods of today.

Both of them are a daily must for me. While I appreciate the occasional "Cross Pollinations" There has been a wide swing in the topics. Great Post to keep us on track! Thanks
