Default woven brake shoes for '39-'48 fords

I own 2 "A" that have hydraulic brakes.

If any one is thinking about switching from mechanicals, PLEASE DON'T!

I am looking for shoes that have woven linings for the 40(round hole) and for the 48 style with the "D" hole.

I have been looking and calling but have not found a supplier and the moulded shoes just don't stop well. Any help appreciated. Art

Art, I think I have a roll of lining material that is the correct width. You would have to cut and drill it yourself. I will check Friday when I go out to the farm. Rod

Hey Art,
I'm in the San fern Vly. I have a 'set' of new woven brake pads with brass impregnated. Don't know if you can use , but maybe PM me.
Second thing. I'm curious about what type of hydraulic brakes that you have on two of your Model As. In other words, are they Wagner/Lockheed type or say Lincoln Bendix or what ? This information and WHY you are not happy with what you have, might be helpful, as I'm in the process of making the change.
