New to The Model T
Hi,
Just wondering what is the best place to get parts for the Model T, currently looking for rear axle bearings at the wheel end. Thanks James |

Re: New to The Model T
Hello from Sidney, B.C. James!
Here there are few original parts available, however quite a few years ago, I was lucky to meet an older Model T enthusiast from Nanaimo who had a large collection of parts. I was able to purchase some original roller bearings for the rear end that I was re-building at the time. I checked them with my micrometer and they were still well within limits. There seems to be fewer and fewer original parts available, so hearing about the end of a major part supplier hurts a lot. Regards, Steve |

Re: New to The Model T
I have heard that some of the new bearings available are not properly made and could lead to a dangerous situation.

Thanks for the information Steve, I will have to dig into this bearing issue a little more I don't want to get into a dangerous situation.
