Bill Williamson
Has anyone had recent contact with Bill? His last activity was November 2019.
I personally miss his stories and unique sense of humour. Some people are conspicuous by their absence! Here is hoping he is healthy and happy! |

Re: Bill Williamson
Haven't heard anything bad, I sent him a merry christmas but didn't hear back. Last time that I heard something his daughter was taking care of him.

I believe from another site he's in a Nursing Home. He hasn't posted there in a while either.

Re: Bill Williamson
Thank you Paul I am truly sorry to hear that news. Bill was indeed an asset to the hobby and the group. He instilled a sense of humour and comradery in our hobby. I truly hope he is alert and focused enough to still have an interest in Model A Fords and knows he was truly appreciated by a large number of Model A enthusiasts. He is in my prayers !

A good idea Keith. He loves funnies and if he is able to tune in he will get some smiles and chuckles! Let’s add a bit of humour to his life like he did ours!

I hope he gets to see Buster now and then. I'm sure that would cheer him up no end. (Buster too)

I agree with you about seeing Buster. Unfortunately things seem to go downhill when he quit driving and sold Vermin and lost Buster T.

His daughter ( I think Cindy ) at one time kept him informed. If anyone has her contact number then possibly she can give us an update on his condition !

And if he's not connected with a computer, maybe we can get an address and send him stuff by snail mail. He was also good about sending PM's with comments after we would post at times.
He is missed. |

Bill is still in assisted living facility, has a computer with i/net access but seems to have lost interest and is chasing young nurses. There is a thread going on the "other" site.

Re: Bill Williamson
I'm not sure what some find "better" about the barn compared to VFF. The format is similar with a few minor improvements and there are also a few minor features here that are better. The membership is largely the same people on both sites. As far as i can see calling one "better" than the other is like saying that a GMC truck is "better" than a Chevy truck (or vice versa).

Re: Bill Williamson
Wouldn't know, never been able to log on. But one thing I think Ford Barn has all over VFF is that people that don't "belong" can read the forums. VFF blurs everything out.

Re: Bill Williamson
There are three Model A sites. I find it interesting when you see the answers on each site when a person asks the same question three times. Kind of like doctor shopping to get the answer you want.

Re: Bill Williamson
Describe "young nurses", under 70, under 60??? BTW , GMC's are better, they are assembled with lock washers, Chevies are not! This from a former GMC mechanic.

Re: Bill Williamson
I don;t think it's a matter of looking for the "answer than they want" but, rather, the more information/opinons the better. Otherwise, every post should only require the first response then be locked as no further information/opinions required.

Re: Bill Williamson
This is Cindy Williamson, Bill Williamson's daughter, here to sadly inform you that my father passed away on November 2, 2020.
Bill had been moved to a board and care home in July 2019 and Buster T, the dog had to be put down due to very old age. Dad really enjoyed being on the Ford Barn talking about cars and making friends. Sadly, Cindy Williamson

Hi Cindy. I am very sorry to hear your dad has passed away. Ford Barn was never the same once he quit posting. He had a great sense of humour and an in-depth knowledge of Model A’s. He was admired and respected for both. My sincere condolences to his family and loved ones. May his soul Rest In Peace! God Bless, Wayne.

Re: Bill Williamson
Cindy, thank you for posting that. He was a distinguished good-looking younger man! Do you have a more recent picture of him in his eighties you could post?. I recall one where he was speeding along on his electric scooter.
Did he have a beard then? Any pics of Buster T we could see? I would love to have met him when we came over for MAFCA rallies, but never managed to get to Fresno. As ever, Bills input and humour is missed. R.I.P Bill SAJ in NZ |
