Default difference in years

Am new to T's and was wondering what the physical difference there is between a 1921 and a 1924 T. I purchased a 21 Roadster and it has a 24 engine in it. Just wondering!

There are differences between the body, fenders and top for a car made in 1921 and 1924/25 models. The engine as a unit would fit any year from 1908 to 1927. Not unusual to have an engine swapped out. Cars made between 1917 and into 1923 are known as low radiator cars, ones made from late 1923 (1924 model) into 1925 are known as high radiator cars. Without being able to see your car, can't say what you have.

A 1921 Roadster will have a straight windshield, while the 1924 Roadster's windshield posts lean towards the back a little. LOTS of other differences, but with open cars this is the easiest way to tell pre-1923 open cars from later ones.

Try to purchase the book "Model T Ford" The car that changed the world, by Bruce W. McCalley. All years are covered in great detail. It has helped me over the years to verify some questionable items that were on my T's or were for sale at swap meets. Good luck.

I bought some quarter panels that were marked 22-25, I at first I thought they were roadster but I later figured they are off a chopped up 2dr coupe. They don't bulge out as much after the door as most seem to. How many quarter panel variations are there?
