Default '28 Phaeton Windshield Frame

Just a point of curiosity...

My standard phaeton (firewall date 06-26-28) windshield frame does not have the finger pulls on the bottom rail that are commonly seen on roadsters. The frame was never drilled for finger pulls. Given the condition, patina, and fit of the windshield frame, I believe this is the original frame.

Is the lack of finger pulls an "factory option" thing, a roadster vs phaeton thing, or a production date thing?

Peace, Phred

Because of your date posted, your car could be with or without them in that period..

My 9-27-28 Phaeton doesn't have them either, and I won't drill holes to install any.

I believe the finger pulls were standard for later '28 then all 29-30-31. My mid-year 28 does not have them.
