Default Roadster Windshield Frame

I have two 30/31 deluxe (shorter height) roadster windshield frames. Both are chrome plated.

One frame has "oval" tubular rails and has two finger hooks on the bottom rail.

One frame has "round" tubular rails and has no finger hooks on the bottom rail.

What is the difference between the round and oval tubular frames? Original/Repro? Model years?

When were the finger hooks used?

Thanks in advance for your help.

Peace, Phred

Oval frame is an older reproduction. Original frames were round. The other one should have finger hooks and the attachment screws should be countersunk so that the oval head, slotted, chrome plated screws are flush with the frame.
