Just watched a stock 28 A roadster sell for $26,500
Barrett Jackson in Reno just got $26,500 for a restored 28 A roadster . Isn't that good $'s for one of those ?

A couple years ago, I saw a really nice dark blue 1928 roadster sell at BJ for $21,000.00. I wonder if it was the same one. It looked well worth it to me. MIKE |

Another one sold for $21,000 and was almost a match to the first one. Both had been converted to 12 volts and had alternators.

When you include the Barrett Jackson commission (buyer's premium) that car sold for $29,150. It's interesting to click on the link to the auction listed above and then click on the photo of each Model A sold - it's amazing to me that some people don't even bother to clean up the engine compartment before running it across the auction block. Maybe it doesn't matter if they can get almost $30,000 for it still greasy! Fred

Exactly and I thought you " A " folks would like to see the big price tag on one . I personally have backwards door disease but that doesn't mean I don't appreciate the old " A-bones " .

How about the 49 ford pick up for $40,000? The first one, red and black.

I like in the description of that $26K coupe where it says, "These cars are hard to find this nice". Really? More than half the Model As in the club are nicer than that one. Mine included. Whooppee.
Perhaps B.J. utilizes the same description writer as the ebay sellers. |

A few years ago I saw a Model A roadster go for more than 60K on BJ. Some older gentleman bought it for a young blond he was with. I can only assume she was his grand daughter.

I have noticed looking at BJ bidders area that there seems to be a LOT of father granddaughter bonding going on. Warms the heart doesn't it.

What did that 34 Red Ford Resto Roadster go for. They kept touting it - I tried staying awake but didn't make it to 9 PM est.

Re: Just watched a stock 28 A roadster sell for $26,500
In 2005 Corky Hayes 28 roadster sold for $21,500 at an auction in Merdo, SD. , so one selling in 2013 for $26,500 at a much larger venue is no real suprise. Rod
