Shock Rebuilders
Who is rebuilding original shocks now? I need a pair for the rear of my old jalopy and I don't have any good cores. Don't really care about the year, as long as they are original Model A. Does Bert's in Denver still have someone who builds them? Thanks in advance for any help.

Re: Shock Rebuilders
You might try Robert Paul in Colorado. He has been rebuilding shocks for many years and is very reasonable in price - $55 per shock I believe with core or $75 without a core.

Re: Shock Rebuilders
M&S did mine a few years ago and at least 2 of them leaked. I would not recommend them.

That's the man I was thinking of. I didn't remember his name, just that he was in Colorado.

Re: Shock Rebuilders
Robert Paul is who you want - I just received a set of shocks Robert rebuilt for me. Very personable gentleman and very honest and easy to work with. Be patient though. There are a lot of folks ahead of you and it will take from 8 to 12 weeks turn around time but you will receive top quality work. I provided 4 cores and he was able to rebuild 3 and I bought 1 outright. He made sure that the one he provided matched the 3 rebuildable ones. Total cost was $255 including shipping.

Re: Shock Rebuilders
When we did the review of shocks we used Robert Paul to rebuild an original, liked it so much we ordered two complete sets.
