Default 52 F1 brake question

Hi guys

Browsing through a mid fifty catolog, I came across a brake arm return spring. Since I could not find one on my truck, I referred to the shop manual without success. What is this spring? The catolog says if weak replace it allows continuous pressure on master cylinder causing overheating of brake fluid and brake troubles.

Any one have a pic that shows it installed?

Weight of the pedal can have the same effect as riding the brakes . Most if not all should have a return spring

AS I recall my 52 F1 had that spring hooked around the brake pedal and anchored to the drivers side frame just forward and to the left of the pedals. May have even had a heavy loop of wire so an existing hole could be used. Sorry no pics, recently sold the truck. Chap
