Marie and her vitamins (lubrication)
Hi everybody! I'm one of those "A" enthusiasts who lives for nice weather to drive his car and living in Oregon can make it a rare winter event. My financial investment and hundreds of hours of sweat (love) equity (I did not do body and paint) I can not bring myself to drive it in the rain (yet). So for the time being, my love affair with my beloved early 1930, 40b roadster continues with her receiving my personal attention with her maintenance.
This afternoon she drank her three ounces of Marvel Mystery Oil in her gas tank which my dear friend pointed out was a "top end" piston ring lubricant and a full bottle of Zinc Hy-per Lube "bottom end" coating in the crank case. In Marie's own way, she talks to me every time I start her up. I know, you all think I'm crazy, but I really understand her purrs and infrequent sputters, especially when I give her corn gas. So for (our) New Years resolution, she will only be drinking the good stuff (non-ethanol) we buy down the street from our beloved donut shop. I feel blessed to have a Ford Model A like my Marie and I pray that 2017 brings all A'er's another year of fun, terrific drives, pride with our restorations and maintenance, and the wonderful commradery our hobby offers. Happy New Year to all!

He then treated me to his encyclopedic knowledge of our hobby and I just could not get enough when I noticed in a security camera that I had a visitor?!? After letting my client stand out in the rain for awhile (I did not want this conversation to end), I regretfully had to say goodbye. I still feel like I was talking to Henry himself and had to end a phone call that a Model A nut has dreams about (these people are really busy). We are truly blessed that he (and others) so generously share their time, wisdom and expertise with us here on the Barn.

Thanks Jon, Happy New Year and good cheer to you! I can not explain my new found energy, however, I think that it's Model A related!
