Default cowl light lens retainer clip help

Hi:

Anyone have a pic of what the clips look like when holding the lens in place? I've not having much luck in getting these in to secure the glass. Or perhaps there is a trick you can share? Thought I'd ask before I break the clip or lens (or both).

Thanks
Al

i dont have pic of clips ,but i will tell you i bought a set of original trim rings with the clips in them...noticed they were curved a little from inside to outside, maybe total curve of about 3/16 inch...they fit the trim ring real good...new clips are straight...dont figger how the straight ones would work now i discvered the curve...good luck ...hope this helps somebody.....kev

Thanks, just having difficulty figuring out how these do the job (orientation of the clip) not sure what side of the clip faces the outer edge of the rim.

This video is for a 34 Ford BUT the clips are the same. See if this helps.
