Default Grease seal side up

Hi everybody,
Quick easy question, which direction of the grease seal faces the wheel bearing.

These guys have some great instructions but I can't tell which side of the seal is facing the bearing.

It's difficult to tell based on your pictures, but the "rule of thumb" that I always use is that the direction the lip is pointing goes toward the fluid you wish to contain.

The 1st image has an arrow pointing at the seam. So I guess is it seam side towards bearing or away.

The lip of the seal is the innermost part that rides on the shaft. A little bit difficult to judge from your pics, but I would install the side in the first pic towards the bearing. This will be orientated to better keep the grease inside the hub unit.

The axle housing has a seal on each side orientated to keep the oil inside the axle.

Mart.

New Pic but I think it's rubber side towards the bearing, side with gap is up.
