If you built a radiator mascot for your Model "A" (AKA hood ornament), please post it here so we can all be inspired to build one too.

I just finished reading the September / October Restorer and the cover depicting hood ornaments very much got my attention. The agenda for the 11th High Country Tour included a Hood Ornament Contest. Since my 1st Model "A" back in 1962, I have been fascinated by radiator mascots, but originals are way too expensive for me to collect. So, the idea of making my own mascot has been lingering in my head for a long time.I want to see yours.

Wile E Coyote - and fun with Acme products at the 4th of July parade.
Pot metal off Ebay about $40 drilled hole in old cap to mount. I need to remount him further forward because the rocket fins are in the way when the hood is opened.

The ‘28 roadster has two mascots, depending upon the event. The snail came from New Zealand. The airplane engine is the turbo boost.

The Model T guys have a more varied collection of mascots. They don't seem to be afraid of messing up the originality of their cars. The one I liked was a mascot that squirted water on me when I walked in front of the car. The owner behind the wheel was smiling and had a squeeze bulb in his hand.

The Nethercutt Museum in Sylmar, CA https://nethercuttcollection.org has a whole section of beautiful, radiator cap toppers, Most are not for Model As tho.

I haven't been there in 20+ years. Another good one we lost was the Briggs Cunningham one in Orange County. We've got a photo of our daughter when she was about 8 being dwarfed standing next to the Bugatti Royale they had.
