Which Gaskets ?
I've been told that I should use copper gaskets on the water inlet/outlet, manifolds, carb to manifold, and head. Where can I buy a set of copper gaskets or buy them separately ? I've looked in "my" normal places and can't seem to find the copper carb and water inlet/outlet gaskets. I found the copper manifold gaskets in a set with other gaskets I wouldn't be using . Thanks

Re: Which Gaskets ?
www.Modelastore.com aka Berts has the copper gaskets that you mention in sets and individually.
Not sure if the sets include every gasket mentioned in copper though ... have to check with them. They do carry the copper ones individually. Last edited by Benson; 07-30-2016 at 09:35 AM. |

Re: Which Gaskets ?
Not knowing what your normal places are, did you look in Snyders catalog or any of the other fine suppliers both in printed form and on line? Unless you are doing a points car I would use the fiber gaskets at the carb, water inlet and outlet. For the manifold to block I would for sure use the copper with the gland rings in the exhaust. I am not aware of any set that comes with the copper manifold gaskets who sell them as part of the set?

Re: Which Gaskets ?
FWIW:
For Model A owners ordering Model A parts, after reading several Forum messages herein, one will find that for obtaining parts, if Bert's, Bratton's & Snyder's are not included in one's "normal" places ........ one's normal places are not very "normal". LOL |

I sometimes buy Engine Gasket sets, that have NO head gasket. They're quite reasonable, & you always have spare gaskets. When I order small single gaskets, I usually order 4 or 5, as it doesn't affect the shipping charge, much. (CHEEP!) Dad
