Default Radiator hoses

My new to me 31 was loaded in California today. I will pick it up in Austin, TX. on Saturday. As they were loading one of the hoses had a leak. They did drain out some water a put a gallon of antifreeze in. I like to keep all stock appearing, so what color should the hoses be? I see Bert's has black w/red stripe and all red ones. I would guess that the black one is correct. I'll post pics when I get the car. We are having our annual Fiesta de La Feria celebration the 28th and also our Centennial. For a town of 6800 we had 200 cars last year.

The hose may be fine with a loose clamp. Don't start figuring to replace parts till you get to know your purchase.

Black with red stripe is what you want.

But first make sure that you do not have a loose clamp like mentioned above.
I checked out our local auto stores, and that straight hose is very expensive and sold by the inch.
I found it's better to buy from the Model A parts houses.

I'm with Tom. Our vendors should be supported and really their prices are quite and often much better than corporate stores.
During an oil change I needed to replace the plug gasket. The price at the big boys sent me into sticker stock. Now when I order I include the many incidentals.

If the hose just has a leak he can wrap some tape around it and go for a drive. Since there is no pressure that will work fine. I've done it myself. He has 10 days before the event to order and receive hoses.
